Park Information:
Overlooking Port Joli
Harbour on Nova Scotia's South Shore, Thomas Raddall Provincial Park
is a nature lovers' haven. The park is just across the harbour from
Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct National Park, and there are four
migratory seabird sanctuaries nearby.
With over 650 ha the park offers visitors a wide range of outdoor
experiences, including hiking, camping, picnicking, sight seeing, or
relaxing on the beach.
Facilities and Services:
The park is open
from May 21 - Oct. 11 (for the 2010 season) and offers a large
campground with a total of 82 sites (13 walk-in), picnic areas, and
three unsupervised beaches. It also features both walk-in and
drive-up camping sites, beautiful white sand beaches, and walking
and cycling trails.
Walk in Tenting
Two walk in tenting areas are located app. 100 - 200 meters from
designated parking areas and pit privies. Both sites are situated in
a mixed wood semi-barren setting with equal walking distances to a
central washroom facility.
Coastal Loop - tenting area overlooks a "Freshwater Fen"
close to the camper beach (150m). It is accessed by a multi use
trail.
Woodland Site - in tenting area offers a more enclosed or
secluded feeling, it is situated on the coastal lowland area of the
park but a little further inland.
Campsites are generally small in size; are tucked into the landscape
to accentuate landscape features. Inland hiking trail opportunities
are accessible from both areas.

Located 4 km south of
Highway 103, the Lighthouse Route, the park is 29 km west of
Liverpool and 41 km east of Shelburne. Exit Highway 103 in Port Joli
