Located about three kilometers west of Hubbards, on Highway 329, Fox
Point was settled in the early 1800's and became home to the well
known Shatford family, who descendents remain in the area to this
day.
Fox Point, which is believed to have derived its name from some
incident involving a fox, is home to one of our Ten Beaches. The
community has a local market, restaurant, lobster pound and day
care.
Fox Point was one of the area worst hit by Hurricane Juan, which
battered the Nova Scotia coastline in September 2003
